Stockholm, 2026-09-24 – Following the successful acquisition of Megens earlier this year, Sertion is now formalizing the next strategic step in its European expansion. Jos Ruijs officially steps into the role of CEO Sertion Benelux. The appointment marks the start of building a dedicated regional organization, with Jos serving as the group’s extended arm in the Benelux region.

When the Dutch installation specialist Megens joined the group this summer, Jos’s future role was already anticipated. Now, his position is made official, and the real work begins. Just as in Sertion’s other regions, the focus is on elevating collaboration: faster initiatives, clearer synergies, and a clear path for growth, all while the individual companies maintain their local strengths.

– It feels fantastic to officially take on this role. The companies in our industry are strong, with an incredible focus on customer satisfaction and quality. With Sertion’s platform behind us, we intend to build stronger market coverage in Benelux and create even greater value for our customers. We will grow stronger together, while maintaining our local core values, Jos says.

A solid foundation to build on

Jos Ruijs brings extensive industry experience. He has successfully led Megens, an established player with in-depth expertise in technical maintenance, building automation, and installation technology solutions. His understanding of both the technical craftsmanship and the local business landscape is exactly what is needed to further build Sertion’s presence in the region.

– I am really looking forward to broadening my responsibilities and using my experience to create customer value across company borders. It’s about preserving what makes companies like Megens so successful locally, while adding the security and operational strength that comes with a large, international network, Jos explains.

The role: overview, coordination, and growth

As CEO of Sertion Benelux, Jos holds the overall responsibility for driving the organization at a regional level, from market development and budget to results and organic growth. The objective is to have strong and clear leadership present in the region.

He will also play a key role in Sertion’s continued acquisition strategy within Benelux. Jos will identify interesting companies, build early relationships, and ensure that new additions integrate quickly after the acquisition and feel at home once they become part of the group.

– Benelux is an exciting market with a strong industrial and real estate sector, along with many well-managed companies with the right fundamentals, Jos concludes. I see good opportunities to grow here, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. My ambition is to position Sertion as a leading partner in the Benelux region in the years to come.
